You will create a research paper related to one of the weekly themes from our course. You will choose one of our readings as your starting point and then create a project based on the topic. The goal of the paper is for you to expand upon an idea that you find interesting, create an argument about its significance, expand on the topic, and write it. For this, you will provide a written component to discuss your research. This short paper should be at least 1200 words in length.

When approaching this assignment, you should consider:  ·        What areas of production do I need to research prior to deciding which element I want to create? ·        What topic most interests me and how should I best express it? ·        What is the goal that I want to achieve with my topic? When approaching your analysis, you should consider:

What are some of the ways that your topic communicates notions of identity?  ·        What led you to choose your topic? ·        How does your experience contribute to what you knew or never knew about your topic? 

You might consider: Is gender operating in certain ways? Is it difficult to see how whiteness is operating in a situation? Consider sexuality, class, ethnicity, citizenship, ability, age, and all of our intersecting identities. Consider the systems at work: social institutions, social norms/regulation, capitalism, etc.   Your thesis needs a clear argument about digital technology, which your description speaks to. Remember that you need academic research for this project.

Digital technology has impacted many different things in the world. Music has always been a fundamental aspect of human life way before civilization took its grip on the human race. Today, because of digital technology, we listen to unaltered music only rarely. The sounds we hear have been not only performed by musicians but also interpreted by audio engineers.
